The Present Box: Phones Away, Let’s Play!
Description
Description
When Boxie comes out, your phone goes in. The Present Box is a simple, playful way for families to put screens aside and spend real time together. It was created by Jenny after her kids “diagnosed” her as a phone addict.
What’s inside
- The Present Box – a bright storage box where the family’s phones go during play time
- Boxie – a soft, cuddly plush who’s “in charge of Offline Fun”
-
Activity booklet – a collection of screen-free games and crafts made with things you already have at home, such as:
- Boxie’s Mega Playdough (ages 3–4) – helps develop fine motor skills and hand strength
- Bubble Pictures (ages 4–8) – colourful bubble-print art where no two pictures are the same
- Boxie’s Mindful Jar (ages 4–8) – a glitter calm-down jar that helps children understand and settle big emotions
Each activity shows the age range, how long it takes, whether it’s for indoors or outdoors, and how messy it gets, so it’s easy to pick one at a moment’s notice.
The Gift of Time – a thoughtful present for families, grandparents, or anyone who’d like a bit less screen time and a lot more play.
